Family and All Gender Restrooms

Mississippi State University provides a campus map of family and all gender restrooms. Everyone is welcome to use these restrooms.

Gender Studies Program

Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary academic program that examines the construction of gender in a variety of cultures and in different historical epochs.

Holmes Cultural Diversity Center

HCDC strives to enhance the college experience of all students. HCDC plays an important role to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity across campus. The center offers a student lounge with a computer room and LGBTQ+ resources including books and DVDs. The Safe Zone Advisory Board and a LGBTQ+ student organization F.L.A.R.E. are housed under HCDC.

Mississippi State Univeristy's non-discrmination policies include sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

Office of Compliance and Integrity

The Office of Compliance and Integrity ensures that the university is in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and ethical standards. They help to oversee, design, implement, maintain and coordinate strategies for issues around title IX, sexual misconduct, discrimination, harrassment, and retaliation for units across the campus.

The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion is committed to developing services, programs, and initiatives that foster successful recruitment and retention of faculty, staff, and students from diverse and under-represented groups.

Ritchie C. Miller III Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Ritchie C. Miller III Memorial Endowed Scholarship is the univeristy's scholarship opportunity for LGBTQ+ students who are full-time undergraduate students (of at least junior status) and Mississippi residents with demonstrated financial need.

Student Counseling Services

The Student Counseling Services offers comprehensive services to meet the personal, social, developmental, and general mental health needs of our students. They organize LGBTQ+ support groups each semester to support LGBTQ+ students by respecting and protecting their private information.

Student Groups

There are several student groups on campus for LGBTQ+ students that provide community and support.

University Recreation Policy

Students can participate in intramural, extramural, and club sports competition opportunities based on their own self-identified gender.
